Business Development Manager

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will lead Apex Business Solutions that meet the business objectives of our customers.  This position will manage all business development engagements, solutions and analysis for new prospective customer requirements. This position will be located within Silicon Valley.


• All aspects of the business cycle from prospecting, qualifying and proposals
• Develop sales strategies in conjunction with management to maximize account penetration
• Creating new business opportunities and increase sales revenues
• Understanding targeted clients key business requirements
• Attend client engagements throughout the market
• Qualifying new accounts to expand client base
• Identify and develop new opportunities through existing customers
• Maintain Business development reports
• Create client quotes and proposals
• Generate leads from other resources
• Participate in strategic planning meetings to expand the market
• Other business duties as assigned

The appropriate candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in delivering monthly and quarterly new business numbers in the consulting service market. The candidate will work closely with the Director of Business Development to ensure all lead generation, prospecting, presenting and closing requirements are being met. 


• 4 to 6 years of inside/outside sales experience
• Strong written communication skills
• Excellent verbal communications and negotiation skills
• Be resourceful to client issues
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Self starter
